The Seton Hall Arts Council presents the latest performance in the Jazz ‘n the Hall Concert Series at SOPAC: the Grammy Award-winning Lionel Hampton Big Band, featuring Jason Marsalis. Winner of the 2021 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, the Lionel Hampton Big Band returns to SOPAC as part of this season’s series.
Grammy Legends: The Lionel Hampton Big Band brings the pedigree of a 2021 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award to the SOPAC stage. Students & Masters Performing together: High-level student jazz musicians perform alongside the Grammy Award-winning members of the Big Band, for a rare side-by-side of rising talent and living legends. Ground-Shaking Swing: Featuring Jason Marsalis, don’t miss this hard-swinging, can’t-sit-still hit. To reserve seats in advance, tickets can be purchased online for $5. Tickets are free at the box office the day of the event.
